We'll begin with the biggest story this week - the Republican National Convention which wrapped up Thursday night.
It was the GOP's turn to make the case for their candidate, and deliver a barrage of criticism aimed at the Democratic candidate, Sen. John Kerry. Here is some of what convention goers heard this week.

The candidates didn't waste any time hitting the campaign trail once the R-N-C wrapped up.
President Bush launched a four-state visit Friday in Pennsylvannia. while Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry was at a midnight rally in Ohio where he didn't pull any punches.

Republicans sent Arizona Senator John McCain to New Hampshire Friday to campaign for President Bush.
The Republican Senator campaigned at a veterans hall in Hudson Friday morning.
McCain told New Hampshire veterans that voters should acknowledge that both President Bush and John Kerry honorably served their nation.
But he says before casting their ballot, voters should ask themselves a question.

Republican criticism of Kerry's military record hit some sour notes this week.
On Wednesday, a representative from a non-partisan veteran's organization joined a veterans for Kerry news conference to lodge a complaint.

The week began with a visit by President Bush to Nashua--
where he addressed about 2000 Republican supporters.
It was a rehearsal for his speech at the convention - given to an audience in the round.
The visit was billed as a question and answer session - but the Democratic Truth Squad - activists who wanted to ask questions were left outside the hall.

AP-NH--Lynch
Lynch accuses Benson of buying his office

CONCORD, N.H. - Democratic gubernatorial hopeful John Lynch
says Governor Craig Benson bought his way into office and acts as
though he can do whatever he pleases.
In an interview with the Concord Monitor, Lynch says the
millionaire Republican has been dogged by scandals, in part because
of the way he came to office.
Benson spokeswoman Alicia Preston responded that both men are
wealthy and well-funded. She also says Benson -- who stresses
frugality in state government -- understands the difference between
spending his own money and that of taxpayers.
Two years ago, Benson spent a record eleven million dollars
on the race, most of it his own money. So far this year Lynch has
raised 905-thousand dollars.

NEW YORK - New Hampshire can expect to see the first ads
from John Kerry's 50--million-dollar blitz next week. The state
is one of seven where the Democrat's campaign is kicking off its
post-Labor Day block of advertising. The first state where ads are
planned is Ohio. They start there Friday. Ads will air on local
network affiliates, cable T-V and broadcast outlets targeting
minorities.

NEW YORK - New Hampshire is one of seven states where John
Kerry's post-Labor Day advertising blitz will start.
The 50--million-dollar campaign is scheduled to expand into
another 13 states by November second.
Ads begin airing Friday in Ohio, then next week in New Hampshire
and the other initial states. The remaining 13 states won't see ads
until later this fall.
Ads will air on local network affiliates, cable TV and broadcast
outlets targeting minorities.
The ad buy uses more than half of the roughly
90--million-dollars Kerry can spend between now and November
second. Officials say his campaign has budgeted an undisclosed
amount of money to pour into key states later in the fall.
Kerry's advance buy is unusual. President Bush's campaign plans
to order ads one or two weeks at a time.

NEW YORK - Massachusetts Republicans loyal to President
Bush are packing their bags and heading north, often to New
Hampshire and Maine.
G-O-P activists have conceded the Bay State to Democrat John
Kerry. They say working in battleground states will make more of a
difference.
New Hampshire and Maine both have two Republican U-S senators.
They stand a much better chance of tipping Bush's way in November
than Massachusetts. That state is heavily Democratic despite having
a Republican governor and lieutenant governor.
Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey says buses with
volunteers head to New Hampshire and Maine every weekend.
Massachusetts Democratic Party spokeswoman Jane Lane also says
Kerry volunteers from Massachusetts also are visiting battleground
states.
She predicts the state will be a ghost town in November.
